I took a poll recently on Instagram and the results did not shock me: We're all fucking exhausted.
We've been hit hard every day with narcissistic abuse by our own government in an effort to destroy our society. But that only works if we let it.
So our job in these insane times is to remember that the main thing that defeats this bullshit is to respond with action rather than to react in despair.
If you've been overwhelmed and exhausted, you're not alone. BUT... I made a promise to you last year to help us all to not lose our damn minds through this mess, so today I'm offering you a few reminders on how to keep going even when things seem to be heating up.

Turn the TV Off
I’ve noticed something heavy happening in liberal spaces — something I’m guilty of myself, if I’m being completely honest with you.
We are doom scrolling ourselves into exhaustion.
And I get it. I really, truly get it. When the Trump administration is dismantling things we spent decades fighting for, when the news cycle feels like a horror movie that never ends, when you wake up every morning genuinely not knowing what fresh hell today is going to bring — it makes a twisted kind of sense to keep scrolling. To keep looking. To keep refreshing, as if the right headline is finally going to appear and tell you that everything is going to be okay.
But here’s what I need you to hear, from someone who teaches nervous system regulation and has spent years studying what chronic stress actually does to a woman’s body and mind:
That headline is not coming tonight.
And the scrolling is making it worse.
