Weaving intention into the every day

03.15.2026

The way you do anything is the way you do everything...

We've all heard this a million times in a million different ways, because it's an absolute truth. But witches know it's because that's the heart of intention.

And intention is everything.

When you do things with great intention, that's how you direct your energy on purpose and truly make the most of your craft.

So it only makes sense to actually add a layer of intention to your days by literally doing it on a calendar.

After I shared about this concept, I've had a lot of questions around it, so today we're going to dive in and I'm going to let you take a peek into my calendar to see how I put it into action...

New on Substack:
How I Let the Moon Organize My Month

I have never been much interested in living like a machine.

I do not believe women were made to function at the exact same pitch every single day, moving from one square on the calendar to the next as if we are all little office printers with lipstick on. I have always lived more by rhythm. By feeling. By seasons. By paying attention to when my mind is sparkling, when my body is asking for softness, when my creativity is ready to pour itself onto the page, and when the pressure of a deadline lights a fire under me hot enough to get twelve things done before supper.

And for a long time, even before I wrote any of it down, I was living in relationship with the moon that way.

Not in some rigid or overly ceremonial fashion. I mean in the most practical sense. I began to notice that certain weeks were better for rest. Certain weeks were perfect for dreaming and planning. Certain weeks seemed to turn on the lights in the creative wing of my brain. And certain weeks, especially with my ADHD, were absolute rocket fuel for output and completion.

Once I saw that pattern, I could not unsee it.

Last call for Lucky 13

On Friday I sent out an email to celebrate Friday the 13th with a one day sale... then I mucked up the coupon code, so I decided to make it last all weekend to make up for it.

Today is the last call to save 13% off everything in the shop - from stickers (which ship worldwide for free) to magazines - both digital and print. This code works on every single thing in the shop. It's rare that I do sales - so it's your lucky weekend!

Playlist: Lilith Fair Revisited

Since this week is the New Moon, I've been listening to this playlist and it feels SO comforting. It's full of all the songs from artists who played Lilith fair (which I SO wish they'd bring back!) If you love that vibe, this one is perfect for you...

Now go forth and rest this week to soak up the New Moon energy. Rest isn't a reward. It's essential. And I hope you recharge your soul so we can keep building the matriarchy together...

Love you.
Mean it.
Big time.
xoxo,
gina

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) Just feed people 03.25.2026 Last weekend was magical... We had our first retreat of the year for Soft Life Society - and honestly it was incredible to spend a weekend with a house full of like-minded souls who were there to support each other and just be together to heal as a coven. But it also sparked a lot of interesting conversations - like the one I'm sharing today on Substack. I missed the Sunday post and email because I was just too in the...

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) And so it begins 03.18.2026 I adore spring. It's truly my favorite season. Maybe because I was born on the first day of spring? Perhaps. Or maybe it's because that's the world feels most at balance between the darkness and the light. But mostly, it's because I feel like the new year truly does begin in spring. Nothing is supposed to be "fresh and new" while the world is immersed in darkness. Spring is when the world comes back to life. New on...

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) Life comes in cycles 03.11.2026 Far be it from me to quote the Bible, but sometimes it simply has the right words... Because to everything there is a season. Everything has a purpose, even if we don't see it. Sometimes seeing it changes everything. A few days ago when I shared about living with moon phases, I got so many questions, comments, messages and emails asking about the season that women are in and how to work with it... So today's post...
