Something soft to hold onto this week

The Art of Making Life Magical

Calm is the magic.

04.13.2025

It’s been a tough week, friend.
The kind of week where everything else fades into the background, because real life shows up at your door with big emotions and soft, aching grief.

We lost my mother-in-law a few days ago, just a year after losing my father-in-law, and the sadness has been sitting heavy in my bones. I haven’t been tuned into the news or the noise, because our own family loss has taken up all the space.

And if I’m honest, my nervous system has been hanging on by a thread.

So if you’ve also been feeling tender, overstimulated, or like you could cry without warning - you’re not broken. You’re human. And your sensitivity isn’t a flaw. It’s your body’s way of asking for care.

A little something to help you breathe again

This is one of my most popular Instagram posts of all time. It's a little guide full of real, grounded, witchy ways to regulate your nervous system when everything in the world feels like too much.

Something that’s helped me this week. Something I hope helps you, too.

🌿 In case you missed it: Rooted & Ready Series

Peace doesn’t always come from stillness.

Sometimes it comes from being prepared.

If you missed the start of my Rooted & Ready series, this is your sign to take a look.
It’s soft prepping for sensitive souls... centered on ancestral wisdom, not fear.

Playlist: Fairies + Folklore

Each month in Illumine, I create a playlist to match the theme.
And because I think we can all use an extra dose of magic this week, I’m sharing it with you as a little sneak peek.

Fairies + Folklore is pure enchanted calm... dreamy, earthy, and spell-soaked in the best way.
Let it soothe your spirit while you rest, cry, clean the kitchen, or wander barefoot in the garden.

The April issue of Illumine is here (and ready to ship!)

My digital magazine, Illumine, is full of cozy, seasonal rituals and everyday magic to help you feel enchanted in your own life again.
Print issues now in stock and ready to ship!

Mantra for the week:
My calm is sacred. My breath is magic.
I am allowed to rest before I rise.

Sending you a deep exhale and a big-ole-bear hug. You are not alone.

Love you.
Mean it.
Big time.
xoxo,
gina

Midweek Magic Drop Let's create a bit of chaos.... 04.16.2025 A few days ago, I announced something quietly radical:Project Mail Storm: a nationwide, postal uprising designed to flood Congress, the White House, and the Department of Government Efficiency with peaceful pressure. And today? I’m sharing the tools that make it possible. The Project Mail Storm templates are now live and ready for you to download and use. They include ✔️ A letter to your members of Congress requesting impeachment...

The Art of Making Life Magical Democracy ≠ Patriarchy 04.05.2025 This week, I’ve been thinking about collapse. Not in a doom-scroll kind of way, but in the quiet, observant way that comes when you realize the chaos isn’t random. It’s calculated. And it’s cracking. From record-breaking protests to watching Musk tuck tail and run, we’re watching the old guard scramble to keep control. But here’s the thing I keep coming back to: The crumble isn’t the point. The rebuild is. It’s easy to focus on...
