Day Five of 13 Days of Witchmas

Today is Day Five of Witchmas,
and it's to honor Ancestors & Stories...

the people who shaped us, the memories we carry, the traditions we keep and the ones we choose to rewrite.

And tonight, I get to live a story I haven’t had in over 30 years.

My mom is coming to stay the night for Christmas Eve. Not because I celebrate the holiday anymore — but because she does. And honoring what matters to the people we love… that’s its own kind of magic.

So tonight we’ll cook together, watch movies, laugh a little, probably cry a little, and tomorrow morning, for the first time in decades, I’ll wake up with my mom and my sister on Christmas morning. A small miracle in the middle of this very human life.

Because family isn’t always simple. Traditions aren’t always straightforward. But sometimes the softest moments come from letting things be what they are and finding joy inside them anyway.

So for today’s Witchmas gift, I wanted to share something from my family to yours — three of my most beloved recipes. These are the things we’ve made for parties, holidays, gatherings, and “just because” nights for as long as I can remember.

👉 Crab Dip (which makes incredible stuffed mushrooms)
👉 Chewy Sugar Cookies (my most-loved recipe of all time)
👉 Southern Fire Crackers (a finger-food classic)

These aren’t fancy or witchy.
They’re nostalgic. They’re comforting. They're easy AF. And they’re delicious.
They’re the kinds of foods that make a table feel warm and full — even when life feels complicated.

Maybe you’ll make one tonight.
Maybe you’ll save them for later.
Maybe they’ll become part of your own traditions in some small way.

However they find their way into your life, I hope they bring you the same sense of coziness and connection they’ve always brought me.

Day Five is your reminder that stories — old, new, complicated, cherished — are part of our magic, too. You’re allowed to honor the past, rewrite it, or create something entirely different. There’s room for all of it.

Love you.
Mean it.
Big time.

Today is Day Six of Witchmas, and it's all about Rebellious Kindness... choosing peace over pressure, choosing softness over performance, and letting the day be what you need it to be. And since it’s Christmas Day, I know this can be… a lot. For some of us it’s joyful. For others, complicated. For many, it’s somewhere right in between. So today’s Witchmas gift is something simple and cozy — a little soundtrack to wrap around your morning, or your cooking, or your lounging under blankets, or...

Today is Day Four of Witchmas, and the theme is one of my absolute favorites: Whimsy & Wonder. This is the day where we let ourselves be delighted. Not in a big, performative way… but in those tiny, unexpected sparks that make your spirit lift just a little. The kind of joy that isn’t productive, isn’t necessary, and isn’t logical — which is exactly why it feels like magic. Whimsy + Wonder matter! It reminds us we’re still capable of awe, curiosity, and play… even as adults who carry far too...

Welcome to day three of Witchmas.... Today is all about hearth + home... the places where you land, where you soften, where you exhale a little deeper without even realizing it. This time of year can feel so loud and chaotic, but the hearth is the antidote to all that noise. Historically, it was the heart of the home — the fire you cooked over, the warmth you gathered around, the spot where people told stories, mended clothes, made medicine, and fed their families. Even though most of us...
