Liminal lines on the calendar

05.24.2026

Planning my life by the moon has had some unexpected quirks. And this week is one of them.

Because I didn't find this method in a book or on a viral TikTok, I have been living from within the learning and sharing the process with you.

Living by the moon? I've been doing and teaching that for years.

But putting it down on a paper calendar on with structure and purpose? That's a developing process.

When you're trying to use a lunar cycle to map out life on a solar-based paper calendar... that means you're gonna have some glitches in the matrix.

So this week, let's talk about how that all plays out:

Planning with the Moon: Wild Card Weeks

When you start planning your life with the moon, one of the first things you realize is that the moon does not care one bit about your tidy little Sunday-through-Saturday planner boxes.

She has her own rhythm.

She waxes and wanes on her own time. She slips from dark to bright and back again without asking whether it lines up neatly with your paper planner, your Google calendar, your work deadlines, your grocery list, or the very human part of your brain that wants everything to fit into a clean little weekly system.

And honestly, I kind of love that about her.

The June issue of Illumine is here!

The June issue of Illumine arrives with the solstice sun on its back and magic spilling out of every page. This is the issue that asks you to slow all the way down, tip your face toward the light, and remember what it feels like to be fully, gloriously alive in summer.

Available in both Print and Digital copies

Playlist: 🔮wanderlust🔮

In this week's Substack post, I mentioned that this is an intentional week of adventure for me. This week we'll be taking a trip to visit our 50th state - Alaska! I'm so excited to see all of the beauty of that area. This week's playlist is one of my go-to travel ones that I created during a road trip across the south west. It's light and dreamy and just feels like a soundtrack for a road trip.

Now go scatter some kindness like confetti - and especially kindness to yourself 💖

Love you.
Mean it.
Big time.
xoxo,
gina

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) Life is messy like that... 05.20.2026 One of the greatest things I've unlocked in the past few years is to learn to find the lessons in situations instead of just beating myself up over them. I know, it's easier said than done sometimes. But... I swear it is the key to growth. If I'm in a personal situation that feels like it has gone sideways, instead of beating yourself up over what I could have done differently, I tend to search for the...

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) feminism isn't enough... 05.13.2026 Try as I might, some days the anger just bubbles out of me more than others. And the past week or so has been reallllllly testing my last damn nerve. Because the patriarchy be patriarchy-ing - as the misogyny continues to tear down the foundations that we have fought decades for. Which only reaffirms my belief that me transitioning from feminism to misandry is not just valid... it's gonna be needed so we can...
