This week is the BIG show... and I'm so ready!
Halloween is the biggest and busiest night of the year in my house - as we work hard to pull together all the magic to welcome 1500 Trick or Treaters to step into the wonder-filled world we build for them.
But this year I've seen some folks saying that Halloween is community care... and I 10000% agree.
So today let's chat about why this is my favorite day of the year - and why I think it's so damn important.

Fascism Cannot Steal the Magic
Recently, I came across a thought making its way around TikTok: Halloween is community care.
And the more I sit with it, the more I think it might be community care in one of its most beautiful forms. Because the whole damn thing is built around giving people joy.
Think about what happens when you decorate your house for Halloween. Whether you put a plastic pumpkin on the porch, make ghosts out of old sheets, or spend weeks building an entire haunted scene, you are creating something that other people get to enjoy, simply by passing your house.
