We all need a bit of help every now and then...

02.15.2026

If you've ever wished you could have a dinner with one of your historical she-roes, let's chat.

Because you might not be able to have a meal, but you can definitely form energetic relationships with them and work with them as deities.

Yep, you can. I know most folks pick Hekate or even Marie Laveau, but did you know you can literally choose anyone to work with?

And I don't know about you, but I need the wisdom of those wild, wonderful women to guide me through the insanity we're living through. They did it. We can, too!

New on Substack:
What's the Deal with Deities?

One of the quiet confusions I see again and again in witchcraft spaces comes from people who’ve already done the hard work of deconstructing religion… only to find themselves standing in a new spiritual landscape with the same old anxiety humming underneath.

They were taught there was a right way to approach the divine.
A right posture. A right hierarchy. A right kind of devotion.
And usually, a waiting period. You didn’t choose. You were chosen.

So when people step into witchcraft, many carry that pressure with them. They wonder if a deity has to reach out first. If there are signs they’re missing. If wanting to work with someone is somehow presumptuous. If reverence requires permission.

I don’t believe that.

FEBRUARY ILLUMINE NOW AVAILABLE

The February issue of Illumine is a gentle exploration of love in all its forms — not just the loud, performative kind, but the steady, soul-deep love that lives in friendship, self-trust, ritual, and the quiet care we give our lives every day. This issue is about softening without shrinking, about tending what matters, and about remembering that love is something you practice, not something you wait for.

Playlist: Midnight in Paris Soundtrack

One of my favorite movies of all time is Midnight in Paris. Is it because you get a glimpse at what Zelda Fitzgerald was probably like? Yes, yes it is. Of all the books I've read and all I've learned about her, it feels most like her to me. So this playlist is in honor of Zelda...

PS - if you listen on another platform, just look up the album. It's a fantastic listen.

Wanna share who you're working with?
Hit reply, I'd love to hear it!

Love you.
Mean it.
Big time.

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) Life comes in cycles 03.11.2026 Far be it from me to quote the Bible, but sometimes it simply has the right words... Because to everything there is a season. Everything has a purpose, even if we don't see it. Sometimes seeing it changes everything. A few days ago when I shared about living with moon phases, I got so many questions, comments, messages and emails asking about the season that women are in and how to work with it... So today's post...

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) Reclaiming our time... 03.08.2026 Have you ever heard of Cultural Reproduction? It's a sociological concept that explains how culture is passed down not primarily through governments or laws, but through daily practices inside families and communities. I believe this is how the matriarchy will take shape. Not because men finally decide to hand over the keys to the Barbie Dreamhouse... but instead we simply build a new system from within while...

The Art of Making Life Magical(the newsletter) Spring is in the air.... 03.04.2026 Looking out my window, I see the forsythia and buttercups blooming. Signs that spring is truly here. The days are getting warmer and longer and my soul feels like it's coming back to life a bit. I've been puttering in the garden since I got home from a weekend away - and OH how I missed it! I forgot just how grounding it is. But also, gardening is about hope. We plant seeds, tend to them and wait for them to...
