Looking out my window, I see the forsythia and buttercups blooming. Signs that spring is truly here.
The days are getting warmer and longer and my soul feels like it's coming back to life a bit.
I've been puttering in the garden since I got home from a weekend away - and OH how I missed it! I forgot just how grounding it is.
But also, gardening is about hope. We plant seeds, tend to them and wait for them to come to life.

I’ve been spending a lot of time out in the garden lately.
Spring has a way of doing that to you. The minute the air warms up and the soil starts waking back up, you find yourself wandering outside with a cup of coffee just to “check on things,” and before you know it you’ve been out there for two hours with dirt under your nails.
A few days ago Mitch and I were moving one of my raised beds to a sunnier part of the yard. When I built it last year, I thought it would get plenty of light.
Turns out I was wrong.
